Personal Outsourcing Tip: Set Up Your E-Mail In Outlook To Reply To Your Virtual Assistant

Thinking about marketing your small business with a mass mailing, but just too busy to handle the deluge of replies that may potentially clog your inbox? Consider email outsourcing.
Outlook has a tool you can use to set up your e-mails to reply to an alternate e-mail address, for example, your virtual assistant's e-mail address or your autoresponder. Here are the steps to follow to set up your Outlook, courtesy of Cybertary.com:

  1. Compose the email message just as you would normally. Before sending it, click on the Options icon in the Standard Toolbar.
  2. Under Deliver options, select the checkbox next to Have Replies Sent to; and fill in the corresponding box manually with the desired email address(es). You can also click on Select Names and choose from your Address Book. Just select a name, and hit Reply To for each name you wish the email message to reply to.
  3. Then click on Close and send the message. Every time a recipient replies to that email message, the To: field will show the designated email address.

  4. The article reminds us to let the addresses know beforehand that replies will be directed elsewhere, to avoid confusion. For more, continue reading here.
